Iran’s National Orchestra Concert, 2nd July 2021

Iran’s National Orchestra 2021

On 2 July 2021, Iran’s National Orchestra presented an online concert without an audience. It was a very different experience from performing in a traditional concert hall, and it remains a memorable part of my performance history.

An Online Orchestra Concert

The concert took place during a period when musicians and audiences experienced major changes in the way live music could be presented. Instead of performing in front of a live audience, the orchestra recorded and presented the performance online.

As a musician, performing without an audience created a unique atmosphere. The familiar energy and interaction of a concert hall were absent. Nevertheless, the musicians continued to work together and present the orchestral program professionally.

A Different Performance Experience

Performing for an online audience required a different approach to live music. The musicians had to focus on ensemble coordination and musical communication even without the immediate response of people in the concert hall.

Moreover, this experience became a lasting reminder of an unusual period in the history of live performance. Although there was no audience in the venue, the recording allowed the music to reach listeners beyond the concert hall.
