“Baroque Miniatures for Viola and Piano” book has been released, 6 March 2025

Baroque Miniatures for Viola and Piano” is a unique collection of Baroque works, originally written for violin, transcribed and arranged for viola and piano by Amir Hossein Taei. This edition provides violists with access to essential Baroque repertoire, helping them refine their phrasing, articulation, and technical abilities within the style.

Featuring works by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) and François Joseph Gossec (1734-1829), this book includes both the viola and piano parts, making it suitable for performance and study. The adaptation ensures that the pieces maintain their original musical integrity while being optimized for the range and tonal qualities of the viola.
