Bronze Medal at the Global Music Awards
I am thrilled to share that I received a Bronze Medal in the Composition category at the Global Music Awards for my single Adagio in Shur for Strings, Op. 46. This international recognition represents an important milestone in my work as a composer and musician.
Adagio in Shur for Strings, Op. 46
Adagio in Shur for Strings, Op. 46 is a composition inspired by Shur, one of the principal modal systems of Persian classical music. In this work, I explore the expressive character of Persian musical language through the sound and texture of a string ensemble.
The composition reflects my continuing interest in combining elements of Persian music with contemporary approaches to classical composition. Rather than simply reproducing traditional musical material, the piece explores how Persian modal ideas can interact with the expressive possibilities of Western string writing.
Recognition in Composition
Receiving a Bronze Medal in the Composition category is a meaningful achievement in my musical career. The recognition also highlights the potential of Persian musical concepts within an international contemporary music context.
For me, this award represents more than a personal achievement. It also encourages further exploration of Persian musical traditions and their relationship with contemporary composition. International recognition can help introduce these musical ideas to a wider audience while creating new opportunities for cultural and artistic exchange.
