Hello, dear musicians and fellow violists,

Welcome to this special edition of Rieding: Concerto, Op. 36 – Transcribed for Viola and Piano, a unique adaptation of one of the most beloved violin concertos, now presented for viola and piano. I am Amir Hossein Taei, and it is my great pleasure to share this carefully transcribed version with you. This edition is intended to offer violists an opportunity to explore the captivating beauty of Rieding’s work, originally composed for violin, but now tailored to the distinct voice and technical nuances of the viola.

The concerto, which has long been a staple in the violin repertoire, is a perfect blend of lyrical elegance and technical challenge.
